Mastering is the very last step before your CD or DVD is being sent for replication. It is meant to improve the sonic quality of your project so it may be thought of as sound surgery. More precisely, mastering consists of the adjustment of the gain and dynamic levels of each track. The purpose is to even out the overall sound of your music project so it always sounds good and professional whether it is being played on the radio, on a home sound system or a walkman.
If you want to get the best pacing (order of tracks) for your album project and you want to have the warmth of analog equalization and compression added to an even and highly defined sound that will match the standards the professional recording industry, Musivox is the place to go.
Musivox uses Pyramix 5 from Merging Technologies which is known to produce outstanding sound transparency and stereo image.
Pyramix is used in some of the biggest and most renowned mastering facilities in the world: Abbey Road-London (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter), Sterling Sound NY (REM, Green Day, Papa Roach) and Gateway Mastering Studio…Just to name a few.
What is mastering ?
Mastering is:
De-essing, compression, limiting, equalization, fade ins and fade outs, reverb and optimization of the gain structure. It is also editing the structure of a song (e.g. for radio broadcast purposes), setting the pacing (order of tracks) of an album project and checking up of the beginning and ending of each song.
